Just after noon on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 Cody was riding his bicycle northbound on Market Street when he was struck by a northbound truck turning right (eastbound) onto 5th Street. Cody was 23 years old.
The intersection of 5th and Market Street is particularly dangerous. Susan Watson was also killed here. Both were killed by trucks.
